The applicant must:
● Be older than 18.
● Be excellent in English both oral and written.
● Be enthusiastic, positive, creative, responsible, organized, and love to work with children and teens.
● Be willing to embrace challenges and step out of the comfort zone.
● Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team in English.
● Have the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and to think and act creatively on the go.
● Commit to work throughout the duration of the program.
● Commit to participate in training days plus at least 2 camps sessions.
● Be punctual to all camp related activities
What will your main duties and responsibility be?
● Serving as a positive role model for youth.
● Running a variety of small and large group activities for students. Activities may include rafts, nature, orienteering, relay races, songs, games, opening and closing ceremonies. This includes time spent on the bus.
● Encouraging student participation, and providing information to students regarding activities in
English.
● Attending the training and planning weeks before the camp session begins.
● Assisting in maintaining program records including incident reports, attendance, campers’
assessment, and surveys.
● Taking responsibility for the safety of students in emergency situations, and reporting any issues or problems to the Camp Director.
● Act as big brother or sister, assisting in the well-being of homesick, lonely or emotional campers.
● Attending scheduled meetings throughout the program.
● Performing related duties as assigned.
Preferred
● Scouting or outdoors background.
● Experience in managing group of 15 people.
● Passion for enriching and innovating educational experiences.
● Understanding of how to work with children and teenagers.
● Excellent ENGLISH oral communication skills.
● Good leadership skills.
● Proactive, problem-solving, well-organized - Work smart!
● First Aid Certified.
